Apologies for yet another video camera thread.
Thinking about getting a new video camera with the birthday money from my mum. The thing is, a lot of the time I might like to use one I'm not wearing a helmet - I currently have a low resolution bullet camera which I've mounted on a headband for such use (it plugged into a separate DV recorder, but that has now died). It seems a bullet type camera would work better for this than the ubiquitous Hero, and very low weight would also be useful. Just to make things more complicated, I'd also like to be able to use it when paddling on the sea in rough conditions, so proper waterproofing rather than just water resistance would be very useful. A variety of mounting options so I can fix it to a boat or other places would be good.
Fire away with your recommendations!
Go pro mounts on anything waterproof and use a chest mount etc. Chunky enough to hold and you can mount to anything.
You get a headband mount with a GoPro anyway
drift ghost, shoulder mount and possible no need for waterproof case as it already is...I think.
