Our Rangemaster Elan 110 induction cooker is playing up.
One ring shows E4 most of the time, one of the others often thinks it is on when the knob is in the off position.
Any ideas for a skint bloke to fix it, or at least one of the issues (it feels as though we are losing the hob one ring at a time)?
There is mention of configuring the thing, but how to do so seems a closely guarded secret. Some hopeless videos exist online but they raise more questions than answers!
Possibly a faulty control board. Engineer visit to confirm I suspect…
One of these online chat things with a cooker tech says the same, £140 if so 😮
The lack of info out there seems rather Meile-esque, I wonder if Rangemaster keep all repair info in-house?
There’s not much to “repair “ as it’s pretty much all electronics and physics. You may be able to replace the control board yourself but by the time you have got an engineer to confirm that it’s faulty they might as well replace it while they’re at it. 🤷♂️
£140 inc the part seems reasonable.
