What do i need to plug this hole on my waste pipe?

I'm not sure what used to bung it up, but it is gone and i appear to be showing my neighbours in nasty toilet water!

Something like this

Probably £3 at b&q or pop to toolstation/screwfix for change from a quid. They do seem to work their way out over time. Maybe Add some silicone or put a zip tie round the lot

Ugh. I'd shove in a bung wrapped in a plastic bag until I could find something permanent. I've a feeling you're going to need to get a length of whatever pipe was in there, cut it down very short and glue a stop end on it.

Edit: that's the answer, above.

Thanks. Just been to Wickes and they didn't have any bungs, but i'll fashion something. I rent so the landlord will sort a permanent solution. Now to tell the neighbours downstairs what's been splashing their yard with!
