When my youngest was a toddler, so maybe 5 years ago, I hurt my shoulder picking her up. Pulled a muscle in the fleshy part at the front or to the side, in the rough area where my wings would be if I were in the RAF.
Anyway, it never really got better and remained a painful sort of muscle knot. It would hurt any time I needed to hold my arm up in certain conditions - like palm down out in front of me. Also made it hard to lower my arm because of course that muscle was pulling against gravity.
So recently I started lying on my back with my hands behind my head to force it to loosen up which hurt like buggery during and for a bit afterwards, but after a day or two it was better. Each time I did it it recovered better and now after 2 nights ago it's almost completely better within a couple of months.
Weird. Anyone know what might've happened and what I did? Did I accidentally discover some kind of phsyiotherapy?
