What's it like ?
Yes, 2009 Professional 2.0 120 here in H1L1.
It's a good van, very reliable. got 57k on clock now and no dramas. It'll do around 600m on 80l of fuel with roof rack on. It has an appetite for tyres and has developed a knock on the ARB or bush but nothing too serious. Likes to torque steer in the wet however and the speed sensitive wipers are a bit of a pain in the backside but hardly a major slamming.
In summary, I'd have another if it got written off.
2005 non turbo
Slow noisy cheap to repair but needs suspension sorted. Small oil leak but engine seems solid so far. Thin paint on top,no corrosion down low. Has been super reliable so far. Door locks appear to dissolve on them all.
i have a 06. which version do you want info on?
Got my eye on this 2008 PEUGEOT EXPERT VAN 2.0 HDi 130 L2 H1 Panel Van (2.93t) Diesel, it has 105000 on it with full service history, just under £4000.
I'm thinking of this for couple of weekly commutes but mainly family weekend fun, bikes, trailer dog etc
seems a bit pricey to me for mileage but i haven't looked for a while.
check out the cam belt change if applicable. also i think those engines have some sort of oil that's used to control emissions, at least they do when used in the pug cars, which is quite amazingly expensive to get done. worth looking to see if this is applicable to the vans too ( in fact i'd be interested to know ). mate to have it done on his 307. the oil concerned was ~ 200 quid alone, and it's apparently pretty nasty stuff!
'03, 2l HDI, 127K on the clock. No mechanical issues so far. Fast enough, comfy, handles well. Good size for bikes, not too big for car parks etc. Rear doors open randomly sometimes. Developed a leak through arial recently. No electrical issues so far. Love it!
2009 1.6hdi here does great mpg love it
as far as taking the family goes the middle seat is small its ok for our four year old, my father is a gardner with a citroen dispatch (same van as expert) and its a bit too snug with three adults in the front
Had my 1.9 expert for 7 years now with no problems at all.A little slow at times but, for it,s size it is good on diesle on a good run at around 40-45 to the gallon.
Also good for bikes, dogs and the kitchen sink.
