I need a laptop but I'm fed up of looking. I know what I want but comparing the different specs is giving me a headache. Has anyone spotted any good deals around at the moment. I'm not even sure if what I want exists.

So I'd like something on the lighter/smaller end of the scale, as It's going to travel to and from Uni/my placement/my girlfriend's house. So 13"-15" ish

-I'd like decent res screen, so 1920x1080 for a 15" would be nice.

-Dedicated graphics would be good, as it will get used for a bit of gaming.

-Decent processor, ideally an i5, not too keen on AMD.

-Multi-touch trackpad

-RAM and HDD size not too much of an issue, as I should be able to expand/swap should I want to.....maybe to an SSD

-Don't care about a touch screen

-Don't mind if the thing doesn't have an optical drive

And the final nail, ideally I'd only like to spend 500....might stretch for something super special.

Moon on a stick? Probably. Your help would be very much appreciated anyway.

Cheers

Here's a few I've been looking at:

This looks perfect, but I've read crappy reviews.

Processor puts me off, plus not great reviews

Great, but an old model with older components

I like the idea of a 13" ultrabook, but cant really stretch to anything decent.

Build quality I'd go for Lenovo every time.

I don't know that particular model but we've standardised on Lenovo at work. Comparatively few issues, and people aren't always gentle with "free" work laptops.

I like the Lenovo, though the screen is meant to be a bit rubbish. I think I'll go have a look in PC World this afternoon and see if it's as bad as claimed.

I'm open to other options by the way, if anyone has seen any suitable bargains?
