Is there any interest in the FA Cup anymore?

I'm not talking about any of the Arsenal or Chelsea fans but the neutrals.

I see the BBC is doing a whole afternoon of build up TV today, a bit like "back in the day".

However, is anyone really interested anymore?

I would imagine loads of people are yes.

I'll be watching it. Technically, as a Man Yoo fan, I'm a neutral.

However, even before the John Terry Ego-the-size-of-a-subcontinent Pantomime last weekend, I absolutely loathed Chelski with every fibre of my being. That farce just served to illustrate how utterly devoid of class they are

I'm hoping Arsenal absolutely pummel them! 🙂

Yes I will watch it, hate the bloody build up though. Much like SPOTY, the BBC sports department appear to have been overrun by the arts department.

Goddamit bring back the sports presenters in a cheap brown burtons suit, with an inadvisable moustache and a smokers cough!

I'll watch it because it's the cup final.
I don't like Chelsea or Arsenal though...can Swansea win it instead? 😉
Don't want to see that knobber Terry's grinning mug lifting it...and much as I like Arsenal's play I don't want Wenger to win it therefore claiming a 'successful' season...even I'm fed up of the ridiculous will he/won't he stay scenario....just bugger off Arsene!

of course i am watching* it

Football fan watches football shocker

* not the build up who cares about that just the match

Agree above I do want both teams to lose ...wenger to win and retire would be nice but he is holding Arsenal back as everyone knows what their problems are as they have been there since Vierra left
I used to have a soft spot for him and the way they played now he just looks arrogant, inflexible and he needs to go ...as much for arsenal as for his legacy

Neutral but want Arsenal to win.
Looking forward to seeing Terry pop on a red shirt to lift the cup
Photoshop nirvana awaits

That was a great match. Arsenal totally outplayed them. Good to see people getting carded for diving too.

And there are few finer sights in life than John Terry having his pre-scripted trophy-lifting scuppered, and be sat there with a face like a smacked arse instead! 😆

I watched a bit OP as the wife is sleeping. Had I reallsed she'd be asleep so long I would have gone for a ride instead of just checking I had attached the rear mech correctly.

To answer your question no I don't usually bother, things like Champions League much more important now as a "neutral"

Thought it was a very good game. Surprised at how well Arsenal played 1st half. Not surprised they conceded after Chelsea went down to 10 men, but it was totally un-Arsenal to come straight back from a set back and win the game.

It'll never be what it was until they bring back the fans It's A Knockout.
No need to bring the paedophile back to host it though.

Even the teams aren't even interested in the FA Cup these days. It's a minor trophy bonus and only worth fielding a B team for most of the fixtures.

I generally have a disinterest these days anyway, but Chelsea and Arsenal, even more so.

Quite enjoyed it as post-ride fare. The big one tomorrow. Reading Huddersfield.

Still have a readybrek glow around me this morning after a week of being baited by Chelski fans and seeing the boys shoving it down their throats!

Was a magnificent performance from our Big F.......g German, starting his first game of the season. I reckon he enjoyed it as much as winning his WC winners medal. Agree with Junky though. ( did I just say that!)

Oh, and I had a £20 dabble inc a tenner on Arsenal winning 2-1, so won £150 😆

he just looks arrogant, inflexible and he needs to go

Could spend his retirement on here with those qualifications.

way to erudite and continental for that to happen

Mullered them and should have been 3 or 4 in the first 25 minutes and a cracking game

Where did that performance come from ?

😛

As a gooner pleased we won, but the season wasn't good. Changes need to happen to compete with the top teams now and that means spending dosh and letting some players go but hopefully hanging onto the 'stars' 🙂
