Hope someone can help - son bought an unlocked 2nd-hand phone, started setting it up but got this notification:
Sprint OMADM Checking device status notification
and it goes on and on. He's gone into System apps and 'force stopped' it, but each time he turns the phone on, he'll have to do it.
Is there any problems having this, what is it, is he was to go abroad would it affect roaming, can he remove it easily?
The phone seems to be working spot on so far, but don't want him to have a turkey on his hands!
Thanks

Sprint is a US network, did it come from ebay? Not sure if Sprint have any links with other global networks, though. Sprint is now defunct, it’s been bought out by T-Mobile, and the merger was completed this month.
It uses CDMA, EvDO, 4G LTE and 5G NR networks.
Thanks, came from a mobile phone shop. It's perfect condition and seems fine.
Beyond the notification being annoying, is it likely to become a problem?
Thanks
Son's crying now, cheers.
Google would suggest a factory reset. Seems unlikely to me, but hey.
Weird to have a US carrier app on a UK phone.
If it can be returned I'd be inclined to do that. I ended up getting my wife a French Samsung S7 and it kept reinstalling the french yellow pages amongst other useless apps. Some US networks aren't GSM iirc so it might be patchy over here.
