Circular motion M2 Q not playing nicely - anyone able to sort it?

A car is on a roundabout of radius 50m. The coefficient of friction is 0.6. What is the greatest speed at which the car can safely negotiate if surface is horizontal (this bit's fine; it's [sqrt(30g)] or ~17.15).

Then it asks...

What is the maximum possible rate of increase of speed when v=10m/s?

...which is stumping me. Ought to be able to do it but think I've been staring at it too long now.

ps - the answer isn't "42" before anyone posits that one!

For free all you can have is my son's craft homework.

Conveniently ignoring loads of real world issues like body roll, reduced inner wheel grip and no limited slip diff, using the outer kerb for a little extra grip etc then

Work out the force required to go round the roundabout at 10m/s then take that away from the maximum grip to find out how much grip you have left for accelerating perpendicular to the radius. F=ma etc
