Our kitchen is about ten years old, and the hinges on one of the corner cupboards have died. I am struggling to find the right hinge

The lower cupbooard is ok

but the hinges dies on the upper cupboard dies so I had to take the door off

This is how it should open

this is the old hinge, alongside the BLUM hinge I got to replace it

The BLUM hinge (from screwfix) is not right - the mounting is different as there's that huge flat plate, and I think the angles are wrong

I THINK that this Hafele hinge is what I need

https://www.hafele.co.uk/en/product/concealed-cup-hinge-90-pie-cut-corner-cabinet-haefele/000000fc00016a3a00010023/

but that means I'll also need the matching plate to receive the click-on mounting that the old hinge didn't have
https://www.hafele.co.uk/en/product/mounting-plate-for-haefele-click-on-concealed-hinges-one-part-plate/31235010/?MasterSKU=000000fc0001756c00010023

Problem is being sure that it IS what I need, and then finding where to buy them - Hafele are trade suppliers and while I used to ride MTB with the Hafele Sales manager, I haven;t seen him for about 12 years or more. Searching online throws up some results but I'm not certain that this IS what I need, nor that what I've found online matches what I think I'm looking for.

Can anyone advise / help? Thanks in advance!

Don't they both have that 'huge flat plate', except the one for the existing hinge is still attached to the door? And dunno about the angles, but can't you just 'close' and 'open' both hinges and see if they line up?

Anyway, nice teapot 😉

IHN is right. They both need a plate to attach/remove.

The hafele hinge look about right - you can get them on ebay (amongst other places) trade is probably cheaper though

Nope, both Blumn hinges have the flat plate, the existing ones don't

Teapot one of a collection of china and pottery that looks nice but is never used

Sorry I realise what you mean - I'm not referring to the attachment plate, but the large flat plate on the "concealed cup" of the blum hinge that sticks out either side of the circular bit

EDIT - this shows the difference in fitting

Return new hinge to Screwfix. Take the dead one with you, and ask if they have one the same

Have a good look on the 'broken' hinge for any makes. I've managed to get parts for our 25 year old kitchen off ebay
