I've not long replaced my kitchen and for the last few months I've not had any wall units.

I've got a 2mtr long wall where my Hob is loacted. The plan is to use 2 X kitchen bridging units at 100cm long and have a extractor fitted into one of the units. The bridging units I've seen are not that tall at only 290cm so they are 300 deep / 290 in height and 100cm long.

Being only 290cm high can anyone give advice on what height these should be above my worktop? Has anyone done similar and used bridging units rather than a standard 720 high cupboard?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

You want the top to be at the same height as  the top of a normal unit so from worktop height it should be 450 to  the bottom of a normal 720 high unit so set the top of your 290 bridging unit to 1170 above worktop height

There is a minimum height for a cooker hood above the hob, 650 for electric and 750 for gas iirc. Hope that helps.
