wife lost her mum a few weeks ago and her nan a few years back and has been saying she'd like to have a memento of them made, possibly a necklace containing/made out of their ashes.  not sure if she wants to mix ashes or have them separate in some way.

think shes looked online and cant decide and is also put off by prices so...... i just wondered if i could take this worry away from her and see if any of you clever lot on here make jewellery and could do something along those lines.

and if not, any recommendations?  anyone done similar with good results?

thanks

I've used kenny from Ash Glass Designs for pendants and neckless barrels and all have been excellent. Used for my mum Gold memorial pendant, brother barrel pendant with dads ashes and myself with my dads and dog ashes mixed in a barrel pendant and charm pendant.

Also used for my best mates ashes for a pendant for his wife (best friend) gold memorial pendant

This is my Barrel pendant with dads ashes and two charm pendants either side with my dogs ashes on a leather lace

My wife had some jewellery made with her mums ashes. Can't remember what.

I was in this position a while back after I was given what was left of Joey’s ashes by her mum. Most I put into a ceramic jar and sealed the lid, with the intention of burying it next to the rose I have in the garden I was given for her, but in the end I have it on a table in my living room. I’ll scatter some of the rest around the rose at some point.

A tiny amount I’ve put into a small silver heart-shaped locket that I bought from the internet. I carefully mixed up some clear epoxy and while mixing it added tiny amounts of the ashes then filled the inside of both halves of the locket and let it set.
I now wear it all the time.

Joey’s sister has some of her share made into a glass pendant, I don’t know what her daughters did with theirs.
I still have quite a lot left, and some time I’d like to go to Eire, in particular Schull, where she lived for nearly fifteen years, and scatter them there, she loved living there, so it would be a fitting place for them.
