Any Instagram Experts shed light on this…

Top posts from #inktober1975 are currently hidden because the community has reported some content that may not meet Instagram’s community guidelines. Learn more”

There only three pics under the tag.

I’ve seen out there on other tags (frottage) not wax rubbing as I was expecting … but gentlemen bits rubbing along on each other. Reported to IG, email straight back saying it meets there guidelines…Wtf.

Might dump IG…I thought it was quite good for a bit.

PS #inktober1975 only had three pictures.. Removed the tag... added them back and all back as top posts.

Must be some sort of ShadowBan unless there is a way to report a HashTag only for top posts or robot just objects or algorithm.

I don't know, who cares.

IG has gone down the way of Adverts, like all platforms.

They only allow posts that will attract adverts, and people viewing said adverts.

If a topic is deemed not fitting with thier guidelines, it really means people won’t click on it thereby not watching adverts.

Its a recent thing.

Ive been using IG for yonks, it’s was once really good for content until the owners decided to make money off of the platform and have since obliterated threads #’s and posts with adverts for shit no one wants.

You still get 10yr old girls showing thier tits, but that’s ok because it attracts viewers and therefore adverts.

Its gone downhill very quickly and I can see it disappearing up it’s own arse very shortly.

The content is just too cringeworthy these days.. i just cant be a part of that anymore and it feels good to be out of the loop.

I'm only 32 and I didn't understand 90% of what the OP wrote there! I feel old.
I think facebook and twitter are my limit of remaining sane.

I was in a customer meeting using my iPad for notes the other day.  Sitting next to a female member of staff, I thought I'd pressed on the OneNote app but hit Instagram instead (they are both purple) to reveal Rita Ora in all her glory.   Still waiting for the customer complaint.

Otherwise, yes too many ads now despite the options you can press to reduce them.

Thanks for comment and feedback,

Some observations on the issue and for the record, might help some...

I had about 100 posts with a HashTag (I made up), probably the core problem.

Went back into IG and removed all the made up tags, as I got to 49 all the post become visible again. Upon noticing this I posted another pic back with the old tag taking it back 50 and they all <span data-dobid="hdw">disappeared</span> again. Took it back to 49 and back again.

So the "community decided message from IG" just triggers on people using thier own tags. So it would be best to only use tags that already exist.

As for using Instagram any more? Probably let it wither on the vine for me that is.
