I've been off biking for a few months due to a broken hand (only a small bone) that stopped me riding, so I thought I would start a wildlife photography profile on Insta.
It's been going quite well and I have been posting a few reels, as this is apparently the way to get Insta to promote you.
So made a short reel of a kestrel hovering and it's gone nuts!! currently sitting at 1M views and has gained me over 8000 followers, all a bit of a shock and really don't know my next step.

Depends what you want the account for. If it's a business thing then you need some way to turn views into money.
If it's just for fun, then it's a nice thing to be appreciated.

Superb pictures, no wonder it's taking off. Followed. I wish we had that 'problem'! My wife has a small wildlife art business that is doing really well, but she is struggling to grow her Instagram following. She does do quite a few reels and that has helped. Neither of us knew much about social media before this, so it's a very steep learning curve.
She's currently hovering around 800 followers, but it would be great to see it grow a bit, we are hoping there is some kind of critical mass, where things gather pace. We are hoping to crack the magic 1K soon (whoopy doo I hear you cry)! It's not critical, as most of her sales are f2f, but it does help raise her profile and she has had a fair few sales from it.
If any kind STWerists would give her a follow, that would be ace ☺️

There are much better photographers out there, I've been lucky with a reel going viral, before that had about 800 followers...now 10.5K, ridiculous!!

My mate is extremely buff and post pictures of him in his boxers.
He is getting free clothes, mostly boxers, off the back of this.
More recently he has had lots of lucrative offers... For his used boxers. I think he has had some free nights in lush hotels in return for specific stories of him ( in his boxers) having a lovely time in the hotel.
I have no idea how you can relate this to wildlife. Who and what make money from wildlife?
Tours? Calender sellers? Hotels near wildlife? Camera makers? Goretex/ wet weather gear? I sat in the miserable rain for 100 hours to capture this shot and was less miserable?
