Last time I bought a head unit it was a cassette deck which kinda dates things, but back in the day Alpine were the ducks guts followed by Kenwood, Pioneer I thought were always a bit flashy and cheesy.

Anyway I'm looking for something under £200 and was set on an Alpine CDE-113BT, untill a friend who is a fitter suggested that Alpine build quality had gone down the pan and would get more bang for buck from a Kenwood or Pioneer...

My only requirements are USB and AUX in and obviously as good quality sound as possible, I'll probably add componenents, a sub and my old PG M25 amp to 'jack up da braaaap' at a later date...

So before I ignore my friends advice and buy the Alpine which of therese would you recommend? Or any other.....

Personal opinion is that you can't go wrong with Sony. Nice Bluetooth one on that site for a shade over £200 with iPhone support and the ability to play and control music via Bluetooth.

eurgh not sony, not for a headunit. id go down the alpine route (and i have) ive got the 105ri iphone one and its great, easy controls, lots of adjustment, very clean sounding - get some spl dynamic components for the front rip out the rear speakers and get a nice spl 10" sub if sound quality is what your after run it off a 4 channel jbl amp or if you have a bit more cash get a mono and a duel channel but youll get into needing 0 guage wire autoleads do a kit for £60quid which is very cheap
