Hi all,

long shot here. just got an iphone and was hoping it would "just work" with mail application via icloud but have hit a snag

So I have set up "rules" in preferences on the macbook pro sorts mail into different mailboxes - all working well

Mailboxes have sync'ed across to the iphone via the icloud

The problem is that in order to download the contents of each of these mailboxes I need to click into the box and only then does te mail download

Why doesn't it down load automatically?

Also why does "mail" uncheck itself on the icloud on the mac when I open and close system preferences

Any ideas on this appreciated

ta

MC

Going into the mail account settings and you can choose which folders to push.

I could choose which folders in Settings > Mail, Contacts etc. > [account] > Mail Folders to Push

If there's no options for 'Mail Folders to Push' you might be out of luck. I'm not certain - but it may only be Exchange accounts that can 'push'. Exchange was the only way I could get my filtered email to arrive (I used to filter on the MBP too, but now do it with Google Apps - much better)
