Found this when I was trimming back the bushes in the garden this weekend. Anyone know what it is or what has made it as I can’t think of anything I know that looks like this.

Moth/butterfly eggs. The silk also gives that away 😀
Rusty tussock moth eggs I think. Or possibly aliens
Yep Rusty tussock.
Miniature Alien egg cases - don’t look too close or wear eye protection 😉
Definitely alien eggs. Pray the Predators turn up soon...
a colony of googly eyes looking for a new host

Best thing with those is to run for the hills.
Always impressed by the knowledge people have round these parts. Rusty tussock looks spot on; for some reason my brain forgot all about non spider things producing silk so I’d never of gotten here by myself.
Check out the rusty tussock life cycle. It's best described as strange

I say take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
rusty tussock
Sounds like something you shouldn't Google on a work computer...
Rusty tussock is the larvae stage of the tunnock tea cake.
I preferred his early stuff
I’d be checking in dark corners of the shed for the mother…

Only reason I know is because I studied/ was part of a sci.publication that discussed adhesion in invertebrates. Lepidopterans and arachnids formed one part of that paper. Bell spiders are another fascinating group, as are caddisfly larvae which form all crazy burrows/ protective casings in a sub-aquatic environment. They use silks and glues.

Barnacles?
Not stupid is it, laying them at the base of a pyrocanthus weapon.
Run like ****
Nature is freaky and amazing. All at once.

Another good spot. I have very mixed feelings about that particular bush, though I probably tend to err on the side of thinking it’s pure evil.
I have two pyracantha the neighbours cat looks on confused while all the sparrows hide and laugh at him:-D
I'm pretty sure one of Rusty Tussock's songs was played on the R2 Folk Show a few weeks back. Featuring Brett Underleaf on noseflute.
Not good for anyone with Trypophobia.
