Good stuff! I'm a bassist who is much happier on classical than electrical guitars - your rendition made me want to learn some Bach - I've been meaning to tackle the cello suites for years...

Great playing Rob. If I'm ever half as good as that, I'd be a happy man.

Cheers for the replies! Totally forgot i posted this here!

Do it! Bach is great fun to play, trying to work my way through Chaconne now, very challenging! I still play electric now and again, but I find classical so much more rewarding.

BTW, I need to upload it again as Youtube compressed the audio somehow!

I thought I'd play something to upload but fluffed the intro three times and gave up, maybe try later after a warm up. Edit: if I turn up the overdrive enough to mask the errors.

Its great to see there are so many talented musicians on here.
My wife is a musician (no I wont be posting any vid clips of her playing) but it is something I admire a great deal. Well done for all the hard work.

Good god man, a t-shirt tucked into tracksuit bottoms. I'm guessing your jesus sandals and socks were just out of shot? 😆

And obviously a closet Brad Paisley fan!

One of the above is not IMHO a cardinal sin... 🙂

[Poor camera angle though, as we cannot see what you are actually playing]

Recorded this clip last week. It's a guitareoke version of my latest tune. Only had time for 1 take so a bit messy in places.

Klunk -

Shall be posting a Recuerdos de la Alhambra vid soon when my (how gilry is this) nails get back to playing standard after I snapped a couple out riding! Haha!

Love playing it, the hardest thing is the right hard technique and eliminating nail noise and getting a good tone.

Once you master that get stuck into El Ultimo Tremolo a beautiful piece by Barrios.

Guitarhero - Looks like a awesome set-up there!

Well after half an hour of trying to record Jonny B Goode the furthest I got without forgetting either the words or what to play next was 1:20. A short expose to me abusing a telecaster then:

are fun things[/url]

On the bright side you can see both hands (but I'm so far from the camera the voice sounds thin) and I'm wearing a sweat shirt (though still barefoot.

I play guitar/bass and a bit of drums. Write my own music which is pretty Clutch influenced, just need to find a suitable singer which is impossible to do.

www.soundcloud.com/shotgunroyale for my stuff!

I don't play a lot these days. I did at lot at one time, until I realised I never really had the talent... But when I do now, it's usually classical. And a bit of folk.

Good thread. I've just started playing again, restringing my old classical guitar and it really sounds great. I've found that the little and often mantra is so true. Plus as mentioned, part of the fun is getting the technique and positioning just right. Bashing around my cheap pacifica is fun, but nowhere near as satisfying.

Planning to look for a tutor or a group local to me at some point.

Oh and I learnt the first half of that Bach prelude myself yonks ago, but never played it so fluently. It's good fun. Kudos to you 8)
