Kids are going to see Arctic Monkeys on Sunday at the emirates stadium. Its not an area of london I'm familiar with.
Which is the best underground station to get out at - there seems to be several.....they will be travelling into either London Bridge or Victoria
Thanks
Actually scratch that! it looks very easy! Piccalily line all the way..
Tube will not be stopping at Holloway Road tube (or at least they don't on match days). Arsenal station is probably OK exiting, but will be a major ball ache queuing to get back into at the end (and don't think Holloway road will be open). Holloway Road gets shut as it has lifts rather than escalators so can't cope with huge numbers of people.
My preference is to walk from Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington.
Finsbury Park is super easy from Victoria (Victoria line), short walk from the other end. It's a sprawling station, you want the main (Station Place) or Seven Sisters Road exit. You've got two tube lines plus trains to choose from for getting out of there afterwards, when it's busy it can be easier to just take anything southbound and change later.
On match days the way to access Arsenal tube after the game is to walk past the long queue for the station, heading as if going to Finsbury Park, walk past the station and then doubling back for the much shorter queue on the other side to the entrance.
