I've got a Saturday night gig in Torpoint in 2 weekends time..... staying over, so thought that I might take advantage and take the SUP down with me. It's not an area that I know particularly well.

are you staying in torpoint or Plymouth?

firepool bay and around drake island and the hoe waterfront is popular. Devils passage if your feeling brave…

I assume that I'm staying in Torpoint, I'm not actually sure (only get told a few days before)

Bays north and south of Mt. Edgcumbe generally sheltered. Kingsand is pretty. Lynher river north of Torpoint also looks nice near Antony House.

Check the tide times, but a paddle up the river at Calstock is very nice. You want mid tide onwards. Head up with the tide, turn round at high.
