Having a weekend away with Mrs Adi66 in Beckford, is there any nice walks nearby ? Something with a view at the top would be great .

Thanks in advance.

Go up from Overbury twrds Kemerton village, at the tree with the bench take a right up the little lane past Bells Castle. At the dead-end park up and then walk on the path north thru gat, continue north with the dry stone wall on yr right, then westwards at the old barn, follow the path along edge of field then up the gentle slope through the beech stand to the top of Bredon Hill (nr Parson's Folly and the Elephant Stone) - beautiful view of the Malverns and Severn Plain from the old hillfort there. Only about 35 mins each way but lovely unless weather is severe then it feel very exposed !

And have a drink in one of the pubs in Kemerton or towards Beckford. Cracking place to walk (and ride)!

+1 for Bredon. A hill walk but a fairly gentle one with good views across to The Malverns. Or a bit further and head over to Malvern for a real choice all along the Hills. Most a bit more strenuous though.
