Find it annoying that for downloads, videos and photos all seem to get dumped into one place ie all videos go into one place. I'd like to be able to split them up eg those ive taken, bike videos, tv episodes etc
or am i just not using the existing software correctly?

Quickpic app allows you to create folders and move pictures etc. Don't know what the Samsung gallery app is like but Quickpic is way better than stock android one. Worth a try.
