Hi folks,
Mrs has suggested she likes the idea of either a polaroid camera or small portable printer, so was looking for some insight into the pros and cons of each.
Printer would be something like the Kodak Portable or the HP Sprocket. Camera would be something like the Polaroid OneStep 2.
I'm open to other suggestions as I've just started looking around, but any thoughts would be appreciated!
Cheers.
As casa OTS's resident IT fixer, anything that doesn't add to the support list would be preferable to me.
So get the polaroid camera.
oTS have you checked the terms of your support agreement. Round here the default terms “include all analogue technologies where the other occupants can’t be bothered to work out how it works”.
😀 Thankfully I may have had some experience with cameras whose film doesn’t need to go through the local boots lab in my formative years 😉
:Polaroid/Instax camera every time; the printers may be portable but you won't take it anywhere with you while the cameras are fun to use so you will.
Fuji Instax range is excellent. I can't comment on the Polaroid versions.
One other thing to consider is that I believe you can now get Polaroid cameras that also double up as portable printers, i.e. you can use SD cards with them to print images other than ones taken on the camera or possibly even send images wirelessly. I don't know enough about them to comment but if this were possible that would be an excellent compromise, albeit a much more expensive one.
Thanks guys!
