I've just have had my grown up daughter on the phone. She is learning French in France using her 90 days in 180 days. She would like to study for a further 6 months starting in January. She will need a VISA for this and has found a course that is ellegible for the VISA and has funds for the course.
However she is getting worried about the process. She will need to pay for the course costs before applying for the VISA. Once she has applied for VISA she wil ned to arrange a face to face interview for the VISA. But she can't see what appointmenst are avaialble until she has applied. So the potential exisits tha she will apply for he VISA but not get the VISA in time to start the course.
Any experience of how long the VISA process take?

Yes, my son was a student in France for 4 years, 3 years post Brexit, a right PITA, online application on the French Gov website, choose interview time (Edinburgh agent for us) required French health insurance which was expensive, proof of financial security, lots of paper work and hoops to jump through.
First I’ve heard of health insurance so that’s useful
