Old crown. Very sensitive around it, in fact minor ache in area of tooth and sore ear at same side. Xmas break soon....
Assuming I can get appointment with my dentist, are there any temporary repairs dentist could do before root canal?
I'm assuming decay in what remains of tooth under crown....

Before I had my root canal done I had my tooth drilled out and packed with something and a temp filling ontop of that for 2 weeks. Assume the packing had something on it to kill off infection. That appointment took no time at all 20 mins. The root canal on the other hand took blooming ages
