Hi

If you own a Civic Tourer can you get in touch looking to see how your tourer performed in the snow last winter?

Thanks

I have one, on crossclimates. It was fine.

But we didn't have that much snow compared to some.

Hey thanks for replying

Did you ever use it on summer tyre's?

My one last year was on the Miichlins that came with the car, and was terrible, couldnt even get it up my driveway on a slight slope? Was basically un drive able in the snow.

Was looking to hear from people on winters/all seasons to see how it was.

Not sure why it would be particularly worse than any other fwd estate?

My Civic hatch (61 plate) was a good car on winters, as was the Accord before. My Seat got defeated this winter but it was a bit of an interesting winter weather wise!

Tried the other cars on the current driveway in similar snow?  Lots of tread on the tyres?

Struggling to think of a reason why this particular car would be the issue

I usually buy a mid range tyre but all tyre and sizes will have been different.

On the same driveway yes the auris.

In the same street on the same hill, all previous cars fine, massive fail on the tourer.

The car is seriously bad in the snow, I used to aygo to commute as it sailed through the snow

The car sits on a normal civic chassis not sure if this is the same for only estates with a hatchback equilivent

I've had a civic estate for 3 years and 60000 miles.

Total number of problems 1. A bit of trim rattled, 30 min in dealer and it was fixed.

In the snow last year I drove from Notts to bury and back ~300 miles. The a1 was closed on the way down so I had to go.round the back roads with compacted snow. Was as good as any car 0 drama.

On the way back I watched some.one skid on black ice and hit the central reservation at 70. She was fine when I stopped and waited with her for the police. The tourer stopped with 0 drama on the same ice that tried to kill her.

Later on in the outside lane of the a1 at 70 there was a bumper across the road. I swerved round, corrected, started to lose it, corrected, started to loose it, thought I'd had it, corrected and it snapped back to straight ahead. Drama 100% cause me doing 70 in the snow.

Even further on ( it was a 6h drive instead of 3). The a52 had people doing 20 mph and sliding about. The Honda was absolutely fine.

Best car ive had in snow. I'd definitely have been in a ditch in alot of cars that day.

This is all on standard summer tyres.
