2 foot high flower pot that is also an ants nest.
Have taken plant out and poured 5 kettles on it but they still live.
Any ideas?
Move flower pot away from the house and leave them to it.
tip it out on the local bowling green.
Alternatively, if not feeling the anarchist vibe that day, pop the whole lot-whilst inside the pot- in a bin bag, drive to a forest somewhere and tip it out. They'll rebuild a colony in no time and you'll get your pot back. Surprised you didn't think of that before spending £10 on reboiling a kettle 5 times.. 😆
Tip it out and let the birds have a feast on the grubs. Or you could just leave um
Ants are great an eating aphids and blackfly - if their not bothering you leave them alone .
Ants are great an eating aphids and blackfly -
They eat them.... but they're all about sustainability. The crafty buggers actually farm them- harvest the eggs, hatch aphids in their nest and rear and fatten them on your plants, moving them about from plant to plant to make sure they're extra juicy, then eat them . So ants might be why you've got greenfly on your plants in the first place.
As for the op- call it a vivarium and flog it on eBay
