I'm going to be sharing a room for a 2 week trip away and looking at some anti snoring ear buds. Any recommendations for anything that could help if I end up sharing with a big snorer? Seems to be plenty on offer, but unsure what works well.

Solid wax ones work best in my experience, or, if you're absolutely desperate and it's awful, earbuds with a 10 hour 'white noise/brown noise' track from Youtube on full volume. 😀

Would noise cancelling ones work?

I find wax ones uncomfortable.   I do use lazerlite foam ones sometimes.  I find them the best of the foam ones

I wear the same ones that I used to wear for gigs - I doubt many people snore at 95dB. They’re triple-flanged silicon ones that Amazon sell in a set of four different colours in a plastic case. I only wear them during the summer when I have my bedroom window open, because the squabble of starlings at 5am is impossible to sleep through!

I found these which might be more practical…

Loop earplugs - spendy but brilliant. Comfy. Effective.

My missue tried the Loops - they didn't fit her ears, got her money back.

I have been using "Alpine SoftSilicone Mouldable Silicone Putty Ear Plugs" which you mould into the outer part of the ear rather than ramming down your lughole, and I've been pleasantly surprised. MrsJ snores at Olympic level, and they mostly muffle the racket.

Loop are fantastic, my partner snores terribly and they are by far the most comfortable and effective for me. So good I have to set alarms to vibrate on my watch to wake me, no chance of hearing my phone.

Not the cheapest, but i told him it was in his best interest to buy them for me!

I purchased the "Alpine Soft Silicone Mouldable Silicone Putty Ear Plugs" recommended above. The website for Alpine states they're "reusable 1 to 3 times". Looking at them I think you could keep reusing them, if you cleaned them well after each use.

Another vote Loop. I find them much more comfortable and effective than mouldable wax ones.

I like these

Alpine Deep Sleep

they fit well and and don’t block all the sound just the snoring. Reusable as well although a wash now and helps especially since licking them helps them go in easier
