Folks as some of you may remember last year I walked 100km in 24 hours with a group of NHS staff and friends for charity. We raised about £19k thanks to many of you for your donations. Here: http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/challenges

This year we're going for 80 miles in 2 days.

So I'm after you cash, last year's was tough one of the most physical and mental challenges I've done. Not the toughest that's this year's.

I'll let the Calendar Lads' words take it from here.

We are back again for another year of antics aimed at raising awareness for those affected by dementia and vital funding for a local dementia support group called MIND ACTIVE check out there website below; We are also aiming to get as many people to sign up and become dementia friends through the Alzheimer's Society.

Stay up to date on our facebook page for further details of events happening this year.

Another bump the eagle will notice it's been reduced as 80 miles was proving to be too much. It's down to 62 miles but with some as yet unknown challenges on route.

Well only a matter of hours to go now and totally off myself I'm excited by it all rather than nervous, who doesn't love pushing themselves?

All done just short of 80 miles in 2 days, physically far harder than last year due to more hills, mentally as we had to get up to do it all again the next day, the heat drained me on day one I wanted to quit with about 2 miles to go as I was ill. My daughter had joined me for 8 miles though so I couldn't let her see her Dad quit, her Dad doesn't quit.

With offline and online donations we've almost raised £4k now we can smash the £5k target.

Resting now with a few blisters and a massive hunger.
