I was given some money for my recent birthday, and counting it out, now have £220 to spend on bike stuff.

A dropper post for my 650B+ is on my wish list, but beyond that, I don't think I 'need' anything in particular.

That's not to say I don't 'want' stuff though.

Taking a look at my favourite road bike (it's the OP in this thread), is there anything you would consider replacing or adding? I was thinking new pedals, or else a carbon seatpost and new saddle.

WWSTWD?

Choice of dropper or 29er wheels, imo. Probably the former but you could afford some decent second hand options in the latter.  Found some nice singletrack that you could use a dropper on yesterday.

I'd leave that road bike alone, it's fine as it is 🙂

Pay for all your kids to go away for the weekend.

You and your partner stay home.

For £27.50 each he'll be lucky to send them to the pictures for two hours.

Grown men getting birthday money is a thing? I'll need to have a word with some people.

I'd use it to go away mountain biking somewhere for a weekend and completely ignore the road bike.
