There is a Hawker Hunter flying around out of our local RAF camp - St Athan. It looks to be painted in red, yellow and blue. I have seen a model like this somewhere but can't remember why it was painted like that. Does anyone on here know what it might be about? The hunter was completely retired in 1990 after the Bucaneer was retired from service.

Yep - posted a Q on this plane a few months ago - saw it over Beddau.

Definately Miss Demeanour. Have seen it a few times since. Normally hear long before seeing!

I lived in Braunton till I was nine and the sound of the Hunter's from Chivenor is something that'll always stick with me. In a shallow dive they would break the sound barrier out over Lundy Island.

Thats the one 🙂
Glad I wasn't going insane. Was a noisy bugger. Gorgeous looking plane though.
