Shame - it was my go to clothing brand of choice as I know I can buy it online and it fits me well. Nice designs.
I don't think Ashley/Murray will have any interest but, if they do, how long before the usual criticism starts?
I don't know it probably fits in their Flannels emporium for your everyday well to do chav aspiring to more expensive brands of trainers 😉
Hopefully the brand will be bought and allowed to continue. Had some really nice stuff from there over the years.
Must be a few of these brands in a spot of bother by now. Superdry is another one which has to be on borrowed time, been a while since I've seen anyone decked out in their stuff, but every big shopping centre seems to have a massive store.
You have to be an undercover copper to wear Superdry I thought?

A few years back that would meant we had half the middle aged men in the UK as undercover cops!
Sort of replaced Gap as the brand of choice if you want to pretend you're still young, but have a paunch and grey hair, so why even bother brigade...
Summed up perfectly by the Mash...
I assume that this is the end of Ted Baker smelly stuff too? Arse! Its been my deodorant of choice for years. Looks like I might have to nip to Boots and buy their entire stock. I fear change
House of Fraser are already pushing Ted Baker Outlet stuff in their endless sale.
[ I'd post a pic... put the forum seems to be broken again ]
Known in Scotland as Ned Baker 😂
Arse! Its been my deodorant of choice for years.
How has that worked out for you?
I always get my Ted Baker and Paul Smith mixed up. Ted Baker - fictitious person (well, alter ego of the founder), Paul Smith, nice guy into bikes who looks a bit too much like Jim Radcliffe for comfort.
As you were.
How has that worked out for you?
I'm literally beating them off with a shitty stick. Its even more powerful than Lynx Africa and I now sweat even less than Prince Andrew
And just to confuse @convert - my best sweater for many years was a Teddy Smith beige slightly ribbed collared thing. Can't find any pictures of them online but, it was around the same time as Burberry shirts where hitting the clubs.
Had one of those two, and a multitude of other designer (but not real quality) clothes back in the day.
Rockport was my favourite, until it wasn't ;D
I quite liked their stuff but in truth haven’t bought any for a while.
I wonder if WFH has had an impact? I had a few of their suits and now, post COVID, they’re not worn and I can’t see them being replaced any time soon.
I saw the thread title and expected this to be about the Dutch electric motor manufacturer that sells to Haibike and Lapierre going to the wall. Never heard of Ted Baker.
A real shame. In the before times I used to pick up other people’s “new (other)” floral, fishy, and paisley regret purchases on eBay cheap, to the regular amusement and delight of my friends and colleagues. I think however the only Ted Baker stuff I ever bought new and not from TK Maxx was the lovely red suit and multicoloured floral shirt I got married in. Consumerism’s a *****.
I was given a Ted Baker gift bag with the Black Carbon smellies by Joey’s eldest daughter for Christmas several years ago, and I really like the smell, so I’ve just carried on buying it; bought two more cans last week. It would be a shame if it disappeared, it’s reliable, it works well with my body chemistry, and it doesn’t trigger an allergic reaction, unlike some of the Lynx ones.
Reading that BBC article, it seems like the usual accounting shenanigans being to blame?
Had a few shirts for work but since COVID no one in the office wears anything nearly as formal.
I thought Ted Baker had been having issues for over a year now, surprised its taken this long for administration.
Interesting that Ted Baker clobber is so well regarded by middle-aged cyclists here.
I always perceived the brand as mainly purchased for work experience placements and court appearances.
Not having a dig as such, just interested in their market positioning.
And I'd say it would be an absolutely perfect fit for Ashley's portfolio, if the price was right for him.

100% agree, would go perfectly alongside the semi-fake looking Hugo Boss stuff in Sports Direct.
Just a little PSA for @CountZero and anyone else who likes Ted Baker smelly stuff:
Boots are flogging it all off ridiculously cheap to clear their stock. You have to go in store and can't order online and I wouldn't bother with their Bury store as I've bought the lot.
I now have enough deodorant and shower gel to last me the next few years 😀
