Listening to Planet Rock tonight and Hallowed Be Thy Name came on.
Surely it has to be up there?
What other tracks never made it onto the 'Hit Parade' then?
Papua New Guinea (FSOL).

Bohemian Rhapsody was a single. Fail.
😉
The Light Pours Out Of Me - Magazine
not sure if best ever or anything, but just so happen to have "Fearless" off Meddle- Pink Ployd on atm. It is one brilliant tune, to me. But, yeah, I'm with Pigface - impossible question and completely subjective!
Barbie Doll by Aqua
Sex Pistols - Bodies
Oh and..
Nirvana - Territorial Pissings
Whirlpool's End by Paul Weller - an epic ...
Down to the waterline - Dire Straits
One More Night- ****ed Up.
Down in the Sewer - The Stranglers

Bohemian Rhapsody was a single. Fail.
It was an album track released as a single. As so many were. The Beatles, on the other hand, used to release singles that weren't album tracks, which made them worth buying.
Oh, and as far as the OP is concerned, far too difficult to make a choice; I'd have to pick from the several hundred albums I own, and I can't make a choice of just one track of the many that I really love.
you know "Stairway to Heaven" has never been released as a single...............................
...........................................by Led Zeplin 🙂
Yes it has, Rolf Harris did the definitive version !?
Stone Roses - This is the one
Smiths - There is a light
Echoes off Meddle
Nile Rodgers produced B-52s tracks, Dreamland, Revolution Earth etc. A very different sound to the Don Was produced singles..
First that came to mind strangely enough was The Bends off of The Bends... by Radiohead. Don't think it was ever released as a single.
Either 'The Chain' (since before it was used for racing)
or 'Shine on you crazy diamond'
It was an album track released a single
So it was a single and doesn't count! My thread, my rules.
Columbia by Oasis. Best track they ever did IMO.
Dj Shadow- Napalm Brain/Scatter Brain
The Charlatans-Get On It
The Doors-LA Woman
The Prodigy-3 Kilos

Papua New Guinea (FSOL).
Weird. That's exactly what I thought when I read the thread title!
The High Contrast remix is also quite special if you like a bit of DnB
Stone Roses - This is the one
Beaten to it.
Masterplan was the b-side to Wonderwall, wasn't it? Can't remember it being on an album at the time, anyhow.
It's either Wish You Were Here or Thunder Road for me.
I'll play, Comfortably Numb, Pink Floyd.
Jeez where to start?
Here's a couple
good feeling - the violent femmes
classic girl - janes addiction
this is the one - the stone roses
Prodigy - 3 kilos
A few here I would agree with...
Whirlpools End - Paul Weller
Get On It - The Charlatans
A few contenders from me:
Ramble On - Led Zeppelin
Tightrope - The Stone Roses
Same Boy You've Always Known - The White Stripes
So It Goes - The Verve
I'd have to say Gimme Danger from Raw Power
Stargazer-Rainbow
