One set of my ageing Lupine Edisons (HID lamp) has stopped working again. However unlike last time the lamp isn't entirely dead, it blinks 6 times like it's trying to start, then gives up.
I'm wondering if there's a choke or something inside that's failed rather than the lamp instead - any lighting engineers think that's reasonable? I might try and open it up, saves sending it back to Lupine for £100. If I destroy it I'll just get some Trouties.
