have a conservatory knocked through into kitchen always been a section which is a bit springy so pulled the laminate up this morning to check.
under the section is an old external square 6" drain filled with what looks like (wet) loft insulation. capped with a bit of old drawer
kitchen sink drains into here. Â seems to run clear and ok.
so how should I cover it up so it' secure?
why on earth would it be stuffed with insulation when it' a live drain ????
insulation for sound so you can't hear the drain gurgle and the lid doesn't make a hollow bang every time you step on it.
is that a normal thing to do then?
no better way of sorting it properly?
