Make sure you've got a strong mix of washer fluid in the washer fluid reservoir. Used the van for the first time for weeks at the weekend and I clearly hadn't, and the fluid in the pipes and reservoir had basically gone stagnant. Imagine the delight of the smell of mouldy pond water hitting you through the air vents as you squirt the windscreen... *gip*

Years ago I bought a maroon 406 estate (yes really) which had obviously sat for a bit. It drove ok but occasionally stank like a ditch, eventually worked it out to be the washer fluid.
Ended up pulling out the washer pump to drain the reservoir then adding bleach in with the fluid for months to get rid of the stench.
