Good morning all, slightly boring I know...
Many moons ago I got cheap (£50) family annual multi-trip cover from egg credit card, since egg got swallowed up by Barclays this has now gone.
Doing a quick search, Dog Tag are effing expensive ~£360.
Ideally I'm looking for
Annaul
Multitip
Snowsports cover
Mountin Bike (which apparently anyting that is mechanical uplift is "ETREME")
Business Cover
Family.
Any particularly good peeps around at the mo?
many thanks,
Shameless bump for the 2014 crowd..
Had a bad experience with annual travel insurance recently. I paid for an annual policy in July and put the start date as the first day of our holiday. I was taken seriously ill 3 days before the holiday and was hospitalised so could not go.
Even though the holiday fell within the insured period and I could not go on holiday because I was ill, because the illness started before the start date they would not pay out (even though the insurance policy was taken out several weeks before the illness).
This clause is detailed somewhere in the small print!
So, if you do take out an annual policy, put the start date as the date you take it out.
Oh - and I could name a company that I would not recommend!!
I've used Insure and Go for the past few years apart from the business and mountain bike. Seem reasonable price wise though I've never had to claim.
Amex for family and business travel insurance (IRO £75 a year)
specific insurance for mountain biking as and when, usually with Snowcard. I always call them to describe the mountain bike holiday and let them decide the cover level, its usually a step or two below where Id have chosen.
