I like her. 🙂

Harry Rednapp is going to be amusingly useless and it will be interesting to see if Nick ****ing Knowles lives up to his reputation.

Bring it on....

Dez, I'm surprised you can bring yourself to breathe anything as common as air.

Air!  Don't be ludicrous, he breathes an 80% nitrogen compound gas.

I like her too.

It'd be good if she used this as an opportunity to earn some money, have a unique experience and lose some weight.

It will be interesting to see if her Apserger's manifests.

What, like the actual jungle?

I believe it’s actually a banana plantation in Coffs Harbour that’s sprayed once a day to keep the local wildlife from injecting the ‘celebrities’ with venom or otherwise ****ing up their day.

I wonder if Timmy Mallet will get his usual gig? I’m sure I read he’s spent more than 1 series being paid to sit in a nice hotel whist it’s on in case they needed a spare ‘sleb in a hurry.

Discuss.

Discuss that an intelligent older woman going into the jungle as opposed to some vacuous towie/chelsea person with fake jumblies?

The Governess is understandably looking for a big pay day, and I say good luck to her, but having read about her Aspergers and her social anxiety, I hope everything is ok as I imagine this could turn into a very stressful experience for her.

I wonder if Susan Boyle regrets ever hearing the name Simon Cowell.

I'd love to see Ray mears do that show - see if he's really able to live off grubs and roots. Obvs bear grylls would be starving after the first afternoon.

I don't think he has ever claimed to do such a thing. At least he'd starve in comfort, he'd have a bush bungalow and a nice comfy armchair made in no time.

The Great Raymondo would eat Hollywood Grylls for his breakfast, topped off with bedbugs, once he's hunted him down in a nearby Hilton.

Hmm. Interesting. Breathing air is normal. Watching shit on ITV? That's normal? Maybe I'll give up air and go for the 80% nitrogen shit.

It looks like she may be leaving asap. I think it was a bad decision and the TV company bears quite a bit of responsibility. I hope she can get home soon and make a quick recovery and be back where she belongs, owning contestants on the chase.

I seriously have no idea what The Chase is, or why The Governess is a celebrity. And I don’t mean that as some kind of claim of intellectual superiority, I seriously have no idea. So what is it and why is she so famous?

Thank you theotherjonv, you have revolutionised my life by making me aware of this Google thing. No longer will I need to discuss subjects with peers using such old and outdated technology as interweb forums.

I binged watched Ed Stafford a while back. He's done a few shows (Marooned with Ed Stafford, Ed Stafford: Into The Unknown and Ed Stafford: Left For Dead) and they are all very interesting.

As far as I can tell its legit. In a few episodes he does seem to struggle mentally and physically with the task or mistakes he has made.

He's also the first person to ever walk the length of the Amazon River.

Worth watching.

Ed did indeed walk alongside the river (where possible) quite a feat and not a bad read

To be fair it's amongst the height of lazyness.

You could copy and paste her name into google without even having to type anything. Instead you ask someone to type out a biography for you?

It's not a discussion though, it was a question; two actually.

Who is Anne Hegerty?

What is the Chase?

I could have given you an answer  (or two) but it wouldn't have gone into anywhere as much informative detail as you can get by asking a reference source.

And I wouldn't have got to feel all Bilbo Smuggins as i did by doing a LMGTFY  😉

You could copy and paste her name into google without even having to type anything.

You can just highlight her name in OP and right click to "Search Google for ... ". Don't even have to open a new tab.

So, who is she?

So, who is she?

She's The Governess from The Chase.  Don't even need to right-click anything for that, look at the thread title.

Really?

intelligent media person makes a decision to appear on a TV show, which by her own admission, knew would put her in a very difficult position outside of her comfort zone, in exchange for lot's of money and publicity.

She made the decision and not the TV company.
