You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
…just got back from a week in Anglesey - why have I ignored this place all my adult life when it’s less than 4 hours from home! Dismissing it as just the way to Holyhead.
It’s coastline is stunning and varied with great walking and we only did the west coast and Menai straight area. Had to include a visit to the racetrack of course too! 😀
Stayed in Trearddur Bay - and 100% will be going back.
Some club mates have been over there riding this week, and it looks amazing
Is that Llandwyn at the end there? Absolutely stunning spot! Really gorgeous
I had a week away in Holyhead recently, it was a base to go out and walk. Such a lovely part of Wales, fantastic coastlines and truly magnificent walking. I *will* be going back 👍
Menai Bridge was great although walking over it was a tad nervy 🤣 I love the engineering behind these things but even still... 😆

Yep - probably the busiest place we went to but even then loads of space to spread out.

As its a big climbing destination i know it quite well. Well i remember it from when i use to climb. Oh and i use to wundsurf their too
@the_muffin_man If I find somewhere nice in this country I keep quiet about it in general unless someone asks directly. The more people go to Cornwall, Morzine, Les Gits etc then the more space there is for us here!
Wow, what a thing to say. I'm sure all of the local tourist industry really appreciates it.
Have you ever asked for suggestions or advice?
May be we should ask Google to hide Anglesey on their mapping App
@Ambrose it was a tongue in cheek comment but I’m never sure which emoji to use and I didn’t want to be misunderstood! Looks like I was anyway, yes I have asked for holiday advice, I have also given location advice.
I can recommend a cracking campsite and Iron Age village on Ynys Môn too…
Point Lynas at the North East coast has a fantastic little bay for swimming and water sport (paddle board etc) - parking at top of hill so take a trolly to get your stuff down.
Porth Dafarch is also fab for swimming/water sports, and has a loo (yay) and a catering van at weekends.
PS don't tell anyone !
I went scuba diving a few times in treaddur bay, you could easily snorkel it - but be careful of the tides and the race further out
Anglesey is ace yes, we've been going every year for the last 7. Newborough is our special place, we always save that for the best weather day. Treaddur bay is also a favourite, great little cafe for pizza on the beach! Benllech is the kids favourite, with a little stream coming out of the rock to dam up and the christians come over with their bs about sky wizards but they organise games for the kids.
