New to this whole app malarkey, so what are your recommendations?

Wifi device, mainly to be used for travel, so thinking games/entertainment mainly.

My Tracks and Angry Birds - two must haves 😆

I also find the Amazon app useful.

seesmic for twitter
facebook app for facebook

I don't think Grand[s]master[/s]daddyflash uses those two particular pieces of social networking tools.

"oik-basher" is a great game, "cigar-chooser" another fave.

But my recommendations for you would be "nearest Rab-outlet" and "chav-avoider".

Shrimpocalypse. There's a free demo, but money raised from the full version goes to a worthy cause*. Ahem.

Also consider Robo Defense, Game Dev Story and Abduction. And Minecraft is coming out for Android later this year. \o/

* New wheels for my Stumpy, if you must know...

What device?

I'm really enjoying Slice-It at the moment games-wise. Pocket Legends is great also, and very impressive. Words With Friends is a top multiplayer Scrabble clone (but seems somewhat buggy).

Useful stuff in addition to what's already been said; the latest Google Maps (+navigation), My Tracks, PowerAmp.

Google Skymaps +1
Ninja Fruit Slice or whatever it's called +1
Heavens Above if you want to know about satellites
Tricorder if you always wanted one when watching the original Star Trek series
Jorte works well as a calendar
ColorNote is a handy note pad with multiple lists and colour tabbing
Speedx 3d
Orange Wednesday if you have a contract with Orange, if not, it still lets you know what's on at the pics
Steamy Window - seriously, how pointless is that?
Out of Milk - shopping list - the barcode scanenr never seems to recognise things though

There's some wine apps, I've never seen one that I liked the look of though.

Swype is a pretty cool method for text inpur instead of the T9 style keyboard (beta form only at the moment, but works fine for me!). Poweramp is excellent as an upgrade over the installed musicplayer.

You a roadie CFH?

I've just downloaded Windfinder on the recommendation of a mate - hopefully no more grim battles home into the teeth of a gale.
