Hi all,

As it says, watching tv shows from a memory stick on the android tablet and would like to cast it to the tv. What players have a cast option as the 4 I have on the tablet don't appear to have a cast option

Ta

Cast screen? Or there's a Chromecast Store app that should filter the relevant apps to you.

I was investigating this last week. Realplayer cloud will cast local files to a Chromecast

ES File explorer with a plugin will do the job.

Webvideo cast is good.

Cast screen from within the chromecast app seems to be the best way I've found. Worked great with the STV player when ...cough... the missus was catching up on Downton Abbey.

Trouble is if you Cast the screen then you can't do anything else with the tablet.

BubbleUPNP now has chromecast support, haven't managed to try it yet though.
EX File Explorer also works well and can cast local media and stuff from elsewhere on the network.

I had ok results with BubbleUpnp but in the end the least fiddly / most reliable has been to stream from a laptop using the Videostream extension in Chrome, which can be controlled remotely via an android app. That way, the laptop does the donkey work of encoding the video if required, and you can play just about any format. I know that's not what the OP asked but might be an option.
