Any recommendations on a budget yet decent android 7-10" head unit to replace my basic 2004 double din factory cd/radio?
Would like to be able to use *google maps*, the hotspot connection off my p20 pro for music/movies when road tripping and effective handsfree calling etc.

I would have bought a JBL Legend if they'd made it but seems Chinese Eonon, atoto etc are price point darlings..
OR, am I better with a global brand clearout 'android auto' compatible unit?

I've had an Erisin PX5 in my Octavia for about 2.5 years. It's perfectly fine running Spotify etc but starting to get a teensy bit slow with the latest updates of Google Maps. Still works fine though, it just takes a while to initially load the map. The newer PX6 is meant to be a fair bit quicker so look for that one if you can.

You will find a lot of manufacturers sell very similar looking units. I believe Erisin is the actual manufacturer of those and the other sellers just rebadge them.

I've had a couple of pumpkins. The first was very slow, I'd recommend you don't get the cheapest and aim for 3gb ram or more. The one I have now is really good, turns on before glow plug light is out and works really well, split screen maps and music etc. Sounds okay with some distortion at high volumes but at half the price of a kenwood I can live with it.
