I have a £3 Google play discount on any app over £3.
Any apps worth getting?
Odd recommendations greatly appreciated.
Torque Pro along with a Bluetooth obdii reader is very useful for car warning light diagnostics
Backcountry navigator is great for os maps
poweramp is a really good music player, you can test out the free version but then its a couple of quid for the full version.
I like it as it has a really good built in EQ with gain control, and saved presets so if music on the go is your thing, you can really taylor the sound to get the best out of your phones audio & heaphones, especially usefull on cheaper phones and headphones where the sound is too tinny or distorts easily.
I think that's one of the only paid apps I have, and I think its worth every penny.
I'd second both Backcountry Naviagtor and Poweramp.
I loathed paying for them at the time but I've had downloadable/ offline OS maps and a great music player for at least 8 years now. Think they cost me a fiver each.

Sounds interesting. I'll take a look
poweramp is a really good music player
I listen to music a lot so will check this out as well.
I use Spotify for my music, will Poweramp run alongside Spotify or is it a dedicated player?

No idea, its' a stand alone music player but its prety fully featured.
EDIT:

It seems its' possible but not straight forward, poweramp is more designed to play music from local storage rather than streamed live.

Shame as I've just downloaded the trial version and it looks like a useful bit of software
Rain Alarm for me.
got my money's worth several times over in dry commutes, well time bike rides, washing out on (and in from) the line at the right time.
I was very happy to chuck them a couple of quid. No ads was a bonus.
And Poweramp, as above, and a couple of lovely looking games for the kids - Botanicula and Machinarium
+4 for back country
PeakFinder, shows your camera view with an overlay showing every mountain in the distance.
Thanks for these
Was hoping for one good suggestion but all of them are really good.
I can make use of all of them.
Travel at all? Flightradar. The paid for version has some useful alerts, ad free etc.
Nice to know that your flight is going t obe late (because the incoming aircraft on the spin hasnt even taken off yet) long before it shows on the boards in the departures lounge!
Is PeakFinder better than the OS AR tool?
Yes, you get a complete skyline outline rather than just labels. IME phone compasses aren't that good while stationary so this is rather essential for dragging the view to line up with reality.

That's really useful 👍
