I know done people have mentioned the wedding being a bit cringe but I quite like the characters letting their hair down.
I thought Mon getting pissed and channeling her self-destructive streak to appear to be the life and soul whilst crying inside was quite powerful.
Not quite Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas, but similar.
There's so many potential spin-offs that I'd love it if someone did something really off the wall. Maybe a series on the galactic drug trade with recognised characters only popping into shot for a minute leaving you wondering what their involvement really is? There's reference to 'spice' and 'death sticks' in lots of the other content.
Or Dedra loses Cyril, he could turn to Rebellion imo...
I like the notion, that all of these rebels are sacrificing someone close, I think when Cyril finds out he's being used by the only other woman he knows, there's going to be "issues".
Compared to S1, I still think it's a bit pants ,but in a ' I've started,so I'll finish' fashion, I'm holding out for the hero. 🙃
it's like a bad episode of Emerdale.
True, but S1 didn't start out too well either. So Im giving it a bit of time to even itself out.
Plus, its more a prequel than a sequel and maybe S3 will be a lot better(Though it probably wont be out for another 2 or 3 years.
What it does have going for it is they appear to be releasing it in blocks of 3, which gives you pretty much film length, and makes for more enjoyable viewing.
I'm 6 episodes in on S2 i think, i'm still waiting for something to happen

Cassian and Bix did a bit of clearing up on their own account with Dr Gorst.
I think that will have ramifications too.

I thought season 3 was Rogue 1.
I'm enjoying it. A slow burner then with a batch of action.
Yes this is meant to lead up to Rouge one. Guess this why there’s big jumps in the years to bring it up to the timeline.
Diego Luna In an interview said he has played this character for nearly 10 years and is looking forward to trying something new.

The one where the Stormtroopers overdo the blusher?

Bad news for Bix then, as she's not on the scene or mentioned (or alluded to) in Rogue One...

DEI hires - that's what eventually brings the Empire down, apparently. 🤣
About not being able to hear the dialogue, the Empire podcast were saying this is because sound these days is designed for 5.1 surround sound systems for these big cinematic TV shows, so the dialogue is designed to be coming out of its own central speaker, so when it is played from conventional TV speaker, it can sound muffled or lost in the mix.
Sartorially, I like the nod to the dress codes of the ‘New Romantic’ era.
infact, I look forward to seeing some of the characters with ‘Ultravox’, and ‘Spandau Ballet’ scrawled across their army-surplus canvas holdalls.
I was hoping we would have seen the ghost and its crew briefly when picking up Mon
I enjoyed it overall, but I think the last 3 eps were the weakest.
Episodes 7 & 8 ramp it up a bit.
And 9 is a bit chaotic in a good way.
For anyone who says not much happens in S2 of Andor I can say never ever watch the 70s BBC adaptation of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Six or seven episodes of nearly an hour each.
I love it. It is so unhurried. There doesn't need to be a fuel depot blowing up every five minutes and car chases for TV drama to be gripping stuff.
I thought Andor was excellent. Both series.
Only up to E4 but the Ghormans are so obviously French that I’m expecting them to be throwing cobblestones at stormtroopers any second.

I thought exactly the same.
No JEDI !!
Ive just realised not one mention of Jedi.... surely this is a Star Wars first .... not even a recap of why there aren't any.
Its no bad thing !?!
Just finished Ep9. It's a pretty decent show. Not really sci-fi. Most Star Wars stuff is (mediocre) kids' sci-fi, this is a grown up political drama set in the Star Wars universe.

Of course there were. It's just that...
"these are not the characters you are looking for"
..what was I saying?
Ha.... the very next episode I watched, last night, it was touched on and was done well.
Pretty sure the only Jedi around at the time were Obi Wan, Yoda, Palpatine & Vadar.
Much to learn you have!
Just got one episode left to watch now first two of the final 3 were very good.
Andor S2, as spectacularly good as the the Seige Of Mandalore arc that cloaed The Clone Wars.
Well done to all involved for producing some of the best television of recent years.
So glad I stuck it out,the second half was excellent, what a fantastic finish.
I should have had more faith in the force 😊
Great, wasn't it? So satisfying and elegantly done. It's unusual to find a sci-fi story arc with proper character development across the board, where all the decisions they make actually seem logical.
Makes you want to immediately watch Rogue One again.
Do I go out and ride tonight or take advantage of having the house to myself to watch the last 3 episodes?
I thought the whole thing was excellent. If only they'd made the rest of Star Wars in that way.

Wouldn't really be star wars then would it!!
Another great series. I don't usually stay for the credits on Disney but the various classic Star Wars themes played as the credits rolled were brilliant.
I now pledge not to rewatch Rogue One until I've seen series three, whenever that happens.
EDIT, apparently there won't be a third season so maybe I'll go watch it.
Well I binged the last 4 episodes tonight.
I think Andor might be my favourite Star Wars series, in no small part due to the fact that they didn't try to wring 3 series out of the whole thing.
Delivers you nicely to the beginning of Rogue one, adds some extra tragedy/pathos to Andor's back story. Makes some salient points about authoritarianism, works the war time espionage thriller angle and all without the need for those bloody space Wizards...
Any tips for I'll advised spin-offs? I reckon a Post Empire Derdra mini-series might be interesting, she'd have to die at the end of course...
EDIT, apparently there won't be a third season so maybe I'll go watch it.
I was sure I'd read there would be a third series before Rogue One but obviously not. Brilliantly written and shot, grown up series.
Bit surprised by the walking through the field scene at the end. Wasn't expecting that.
It was originally planned as a 5 series arc, each series taking in one year -I think condensing each year into 3 episodes worked really well & made for a super tight story line.
They were also apparently going to introduce the K series droids in a one off episode with them tearing through a rebel ship. I think the way they ended up doing it was perfect.
Finished Andor, straight into Rogue One and then onto New Hope.
Good seeing Andor's further development... killing an allies, just like Luthen did.
Not so good it's de-valued everyone favourite baddie.
Darth Vader feels like blunt instrument, no more than a bully boy.
(it probably was ever thus, its just we've grown up and the thought of a fascist state is the real horror now)
Felt bad for dedre, she deserved a more dramatic end but yeah, star wars for (almost) grown ups. First few episodes were weak but really torqued up the tension over the last 4 or 5. Zehr gut.

In a sort of why don't they just shoot James Bond kind of way.....why would you bother with stormtroopers, who are evidently completely and utterly, shit. Wheln you could have a load of them?
Storm troopers are cheap.
Felt bad for dedre, she deserved a more dramatic end but yeah
Interesting, I thought it was perfect. The realisation that she'd screwed up, been screwed over and was a nothing in the eyes of the Empire

Yep. The face-eating leopard claims another victim.
Yeah but it maybe warranted a bit more screen time
I reckon then nailed it. Krennic ripping her a new one (complete with finger on head goodness, one of the most icon scenes in the show and we first hear "death star" iirc) in the interrogation room, after the hospital, after the great scene in the shop with Luthen. Then the last scene of her locked up in a situation that everyone that's watched season 1 understands
I liked the way characters' hair styles changed in the last couple of episodes so they appeared as they do in Rogue 1.
