Sad news, he had a holiday home in the village i grew up in. I met him on a number of occasions in the local shops and at the golf club. He always seemed to have time for everyone.

The two Ronnies was one of the best comedy telly programmes ever.
I laughed so much when he fell off the conveyor belt thingy, while filming a Peter Kaye video (once I knew he wasn't injured).
After a series of crimes in the Glasgow area, Chief Inspector McTavish has announced that he is looking for a man with one eye. If he doesn't find him, he's going to use both eyes
