Parents have got an old Panasonic Viera telly. Anyone know how we get rid of the ‘HDMI’ title that’s persistently in the top left of the screen?

Try a couple of presses to the "i" button on the remote

Either swap whatever is plugged into HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 or go to Source on the remote and select whatever you're watching? I've got one, refuses to die, great TV for Now/Netflix etc when the grandkids invade.

IIRC from the one we used to have, there’s a button on the remote that looks like a screen with a + symbol. Think that might get rid of it…??

Ours doesn't stay on permanently but if it did...

Menu>Setup>Display>Banner Timeout

Ours does keep the banner displayed if there's no input, it's over 10yo at this point so maybe the same vintage.

Oh and look up Hotel menu activation, there are a to of hidden settings (applies to any brand) that can be useful and may help here.

Repeated pressing of ‘i’ seems to have done the trick - thanks all!
