[Closed] Amsterdam by train from London - Anyone done it?

Have done Eurostar to Brussels, but not the second bit.
Anyone tried it the whole and thoughts on whether it is more relaxing than flying...?

Also thoughts on mid price accommodation gratefully received.

Doesn't save any time or cost over flying (and depending on where you live, may be worse for both).

I'd not heard of the Dutch Flyer (train then ferry from Harwich) option before, may be heading to Rotterdam again soon and that would work pretty well.

I did it about 13 years ago. Very, very easy. 2 changes of train between Farnborough and Amsterdam. If I was travelling light I wouldn't even think about doing it any other way 🙂

It'll be slower than flying but depending how happy you are with London crowds it'll be less stressful than dealing with the airports.
