there's your nutjob right thereTheres only one solution to this ,roll out the NUKES and absolutely SHOW THEM THE TRUE MEANING OF HOLOCAUST blanket bomb the shit out of the whole region till theres no-one left ,the nuclear winter is surely far more prefferable to islamic nutjacks and their brand of terrorism
some people want to have control, some don't. those that do will use any means to get it. muslims on the whole are pretty devout, so if you want to whip up a load of muslims you use religion to do it. on the other hand, if most of the population couldn't give a toss about religion, you use something else, like 'defending our way of life, because we stand for freedom and fairness etc etc'
either way certain people will profit, whether its from control of the oil or arms sales they don't care.
best thing written on this thread yetSo, just why is it that this one life is so worthy of such dedicated press coverage, if not for manipulation of not only the general populace, but also the press themselves, who will naturally want revenge...
What is concerning is the amount of British citizens who have travelled to fight with ISIS, it seems the Muslim majority is unable to deter them.
What concernes me far more, is the number of British citizens who willingly sign up to be part of the armed forces of the Uk, which has been instrumental in the barbaric and utterly unjustifiable lsaughter of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afganistan recently, in spite of overwhelming evidence that these wre totally unjust and indefensible examples of western military imperialism.
Somebody earlier made the point about footage from drone strikes etc being played on our media, with the end result being the sabme. Yet we watch such footage with the same detachment from reality, as if it were a video game. Innocent people being killed, yet it's ok to show such senseless slaughter? I really don't distinguish between such acts of barbarism, and horrific beheadings of those who strive to bring us information. It's all ****ing wrong.
Do you know anyone in the British armed forces? I do. Lots of my mates. Believe me, they certainly don't sign up for the opportunity to 'slaughter' people. If you can't distinguish between them, and some jihadist nutter, beheading someone, then quite frankly you're an idiot! 🙄
Yer but once I did meet "one of those soldiers".
He probably isn't your mate, he probably hasn't been caught and is definitely a murderer.
But he had a wide and kids and coached football and had a HfH wristband.
Tar, brush, across the board.
This is awful; You know what kills more people than people?
Tuberculosis, Hepatitis, Dysentery. Fix that.
Edit: Had one conversation too many about this shit today.

That's what this is.
there's your nuthob right there
Pretty sure last time a nuclear weapon was dropped it stopped another load of suicidals from continuing the course they had chosen, if your fighting extremeists use extreme measures ,pretty sure they would love to hear how you whip up extremism through religion . Maybe before they cut off your infidel head ?
by doing the wrong thing. its not their fault however, they serve their countries and follow the orders they are given by their superiors. in recent events their superiors have got it wrong and the military personnel have paid the ultimate price.
After 9/11 though, going shooty shooty bang bang in Afghanistan with Britains best trained loons was entirely justified. It's only the Iraq war that wasn't.
A heads up guys, viewing or sharing such videos is a crime.
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/aug/20/police-warn-james-foley-video-crime-social-media
I don't know whether that means viewing the medias censored versions of the video, or Nato/Israeli gunsight footage is a crime then? 😈
Anyway does anyone know about the fella who did this? Dave Smith or something born within the sound of the Bow bells. What's it take to make a guy like that cut of someone's head and share it on youtube?
Probably the same that it takes for private security contractors to pop of and kill for money.
Greed and false hope.

(I could make a counter coment about a persn really not understanding somtheing I actually wrote, and instead chosing to froth and splutter in a confused, knee-jerking reaction, but hey...)
So, if I can't distinguish between someone signng up to fight 'for Queen and country', armed with seriously nasty wepaory that blows childrent o bits, when all the info out thereis that it's a major **** up which is entirely unjustifiable and wrong, and 'jihadist nutter behading someone', I'm an 'idiot'?
Ok then. I think I can live wih you not sharing my views, as I'm not in fact an 'idiot' as oyu beleive, but someone capable and entitled to have theri own opinions on a subject.
Do you know anyone in the British armed forces?
Yes; a couple of family members amongst them in fact. Your point?
I suspect the 'jihadist nutters' probably think the British armed service personell are imperialist infidel scum, and that it is in fact they themselves who are the 'righteous'. That's how war works, you see. Hate vs Hate. This isn't some glorious righteous crusade against the evil dark hordes, this is war. And both sides are ****ing wrong.

The World is much smaleer these days. People more able to move across the globe. I don't think people from the West of Middle Eastern descent would be best pleased if nuclear weapons were used on friends and family back in the motherland.
Again, I kind of sympathize with your point stoffel. However, the last time I checked the ROE of British soldiers didn't include beheading journos.
What's it take to make a guy like that cut of someone's head and share it on youtube?
Public beheading is a traditional Sunni form of execution. Our friends the Saudis do it, as did our other friends the Afghan mujaheddin. I guess putting it on youtube is what made Foley's execution "public".
Our friends and close allies the Saudis (who back ISIS) about to carry out a public beheading :

You know what Europeans are like though, we have a long and illustrious history of genocide and death camps for people we consider to be a bit trouble makerish.

Bit of a difference between a slice to the back of the head using a sword and hacking at someones throat. One takes about 3 seconds until total brain death, the other one includes a lot more suffering and IMO is more personal for the killer.
It still doesn't make it right, but cynically undermining someones horror to a beheading by using the Saudis as an example is somewhat dishonest.
I could explain how the arms trade has links to international paedophile rings involving MPs
What's that got to do with James Foley's execution ?
but you probably wouldn't believe me...
Are you seriously suggesting that you only post stuff which you expect people to believe ?
However, the last time I checked the ROE of British soldiers didn't include beheading journos.
Does it include murdering an unarmed, wounded POW?
Does it include murdering an unarmed, wounded POW?
Nope. Those would be the actions of an insubordinate individual.

Yes the Saudis prefer to use a sharper instrument.
Edited for your edit :
It still doesn't make it right, but cynically undermining someones horror to a beheading by using the Saudis as an example is somewhat dishonest.
What the hell are you talking about "cynically undermining someones horror" ?
I pointed out that public beheading is a traditional Sunni form of execution. I also pointed out that people we consider "our friends and allies" carry out public beheadings. You pointed out that they use sharper instruments.
Where am I "cynically undermining someones horror" ffs ?
What's that got to do with James Foley's execution ?
Well, if you think about it, if it wasn't for the extremely profitable arms trade, there wouldn't have been the prior wars that led to the current state of affairs, so James Foley wouldn't have been reporting on the situation and the bloke who chopped his head off would probably be living a relaxed and worthwhile life, rather than being motivated to do bad things...
It's like the butterfly effect, but with $Billions, guns, missiles and oil, peppered with a bit of child trafficking as bait to feed perversions for blackmail.
Making history can be a very dirty business for the fat cats...
Nope. Those would be the actions of an insubordinate individual.
What about all the other deaths of innocent peope in Iraq and Afganistan, at the hands of British troops?
Or is that just 'collateral damage'?
See how easy it i to 'justify' the actions of those whom you may beleive to be on the side of 'right'?
We had no choice other than to enter Afghanistan, but if you want to play whatabouterry - what about all those people who would have died under the continued rule of Saddam Hussein.
Can you prove we killed more civilians than he would have done?
At the same time you're also justifying these actions by using UK/US actions as an excuse, which again, I find dishonest. I'm a pretty cynical individual but I'm not cynical enough to place British soldiers and Western secularism on the same level as rampant religious fundamentalism and 100% undiluted terrorism.
Yunki - yes I have seen the video you are in about. Also watched this terrible video.... Pretty much seen all the videos mentioned on here too. Horrible beyond belief but I guess in a weird way I have become desensitised to the violence and horror portrayed. Thing is I reckon we are actually in a better place than we ever have been however media exposure is greater than its ever been too. Therefore we as westerners are getting exposed to more and more go pro format footage of war and the total crap that goes along with it. There is a shit storm coming..... Just hope we don't ride the wave.
We had no choice other than to enter Afghanistan
'No choice'. Really??!? 😯
but if you want to play whatabouterry
Bengal Famine. Dresden. Boer War. Oh, and 'we' (allegedly) gassed Kurds long before Saddam did.
At the same time you're also justifying these actions by using UK/US actions as an excuse
Bollocks. I'm not justifying anything. That's something you've mae up.

Politically, no. Do you not remember the atmosphere after the attacks? Even the usually pacifistic Germans got involved. And like it or not it crippled AQ.

I'm not arguing that, that's in the past. I'm arguing whether here in the now, British soldiers are less morally bankrupt than our British ISIS volunteer. And if you really think that politically/ideologically we are as bad as ISIS then you really are beyond deluded.
but I guess in a weird way I have become desensitised to the violence and horror portrayed.
It's pretty obvious that you have if you are actively seeking out these videos - there's nothing weird about that, the only thing that's weird imo is what you choose to watch.
As the locals have done one as soon as they hear ISIS are on the way why don't we just sit on a hill several hundred miles away and nuke them. Then watch the fireworks.
Surround the area with tape saying please return for the oil in 2114.
Job done! People really do over think these things.
*sigh* and nuke children, great.
Try re-reading again locals have done one 🙄
Do you mean locals such as kurds or locals such as Sunnis who don't run?
Don't forget the greasy men in suits who profit from the weapons and their sweaty antics with children...
ISIS are just thorns on a bush; a bush that keeps growing back unless you get to the roots of the problem

Electrolysis will stop that bush growing back.
Politically, no. Do you not remember the atmosphere after the attacks? Even the usually pacifistic Germans got involved. And like it or not it crippled AQ.
Politically? You mean, those who decided that another round of selling very expensive weapons and establisinh the USA as the World Leader, with the UK as it's poodle, was a good idea? I seem to rememeber many people in this contry being completely opposed to any war in Afganistan. As for Al Quaeda; ahvent they morphed into ISIS? So, hardly 'crippled' then.
I'm not arguing that, that's in the past.
Why bring up Saddam then? He was 'in the past' to.
I'm arguing whether here in the now, British soldiers are less morally bankrupt than our British ISIS volunteer.
From whose perspective are 'we' looking at this? Personally, I think there is little distinction between one set of willing combatents, and another. The rest is just propaganda and politics. British rtrops wera nd are gulty of some horrific attrocities and abuses. It's no good saying 'oh but we're more righteous than them', when 'we' helpedcreate the curent mess Iraq is in.
And if you really think that politically/ideologically we are as bad as ISIS then you really are beyond deluded.
Who is this 'we' you keep speaking of? Don't include me in any support/collaboration/endorsement of what the UK government andmilitary are doing in Iraq nd Afghanistan. None of that is happening in 'my name'. Invading and occupying foreign countires for spurious, bullshit reasons, then murdering innocent civilians, is totaly morally bankrupt. Comparing one lot of war mongerers with another, is like asking to chose who was nicer between Harold Shipman and Peter Sutcliffe.

Seriously, are you completely obsessed with paedaphilia ( sorry if I spelt that wrong, but I normally google words I am not sure of the spelling but I am defiantly not googling that)
Do all your conversations at home or work revolve around or have to be linked to child abuse.
I could explain how the arms trade has links.......etc etc
Not this shit again.
I'll tell you what..... If you can go a whole week without claiming some people have "Links" to some other people, I will buy you a brand new tinfoil trilby.
Tom_W1987 I really would not give a shit if they were green aliens with pink spots the problem is they see themselves as soldiers of whoever / whatever but we piss around with a drone strike here and there.
If they want a war with the west give them a war with the west in the 21st century gloves off. Wipe them off the face for the earth.
I bet you do it once and the next along the line bunch of nutters would give things some serious though when they know everything and every one they were fighting for would be gone in a large mushroom shaped cloud as soon as they kick off.
If you knew what I know, you'd understand why I harp on about it with such dedication...
Who does government arms deals?

Correction, the Saudi's helped create the mess they're in. We stopped Saddam killing millions more people. In fact, we have blood on our hands because we didn't topple the regime in '91. Just think what the world would be like if it was run by the anti-interventionists hey? The Bosnians and Kosovans would be ****ed, as would the people of East Timor, Sierra Leonne and El Salvidor and meanwhile Saddam would still be gassing Kurds.

You're paying taxes, it is happening in your name. I suggest you write to HMRC and tell them why you stopped paying them.

You read things online, watch things on TV and read papers from news networks that are funded/ managed by the same people who have investments in Oil, Gas and the weapons industry.
Look into Genie Energy:
Genie previously announced a strategic advisory board whose members provide strategic direction and council. Its members include former Vice President Dick Cheney, Michael Steinhardt, Jacob Rothschild, and Rupert Murdoch.

More bollocks. Do your homework. I can't be bothered with the rest of your ill-informed waffle.
You're paying taxes, it is happening in your name. I suggest you write to HMRC and tell them why you stopped paying them.
Paying my taxes does not in any way sanction what a government I never voted for, using a millitary force in a way I abhor, not make their actions 'in my name'. As I have no choice but to pay taxes. AndI haven't voluntarly signed up to become part of that imperialist military machine. So no; it's not happening in my name.
You say some remarkably daft things.
He does, doesn't he? 🙄

You make a lot of assumptions about people you've never met.
You say some remarkably daft things.
Really? I've been tallying up the military deaths caused by Saddam and the deaths caused by the US/UK and ISIS and it's definitely swinging in Saddam's favor. I mean, he might have suddenly stopped gassing people and starting wars with his neighbors but Leopards don't tend to change their spots.
And besides Ernie, if you're such a big supporter of Palestinians and their right to be armed and fight the occupying Israelis, surely you should support the arming of the Kurds to fight Iraqi/ISIS occupation? I mean to be consistent and all.... 😆
Who did what in the past can not be changed now.
And if you believe we did that to who means we have no moral high ground to stop innocent people from being mass murdered, what do you suggest, we just leave them to it.
You make a lot of assumptions about people you've never met.
😆
You're the funniest guy on here, you lucky scamp

Trade interdependence is one of the biggest drivers of peace. What better way to promote peace than set up a meeting of prominent capitalists. 😈
Jive honey,
On the rolf thread there was a you tube screen shot of max Clifford with white hair and black eyebrows.
I was going to add a picture of alister darling with a tenuous link and a lame joke.
But thought better of it because to link someone to such crimes is an awful slur and greatly irresponsible and with people like yourself around it may grow legs and before you know it he has found himself the subject of the internet rumour mill.
If you have genuine evidence of impropriety, tell the appropriate authorities. Because there is sod all I can do.
Because the way you go about it it would not matter if it was true, because no one will take you seriously .
Trade is the biggest driver of peace.
That theory doesn't work too well with the arms industry...
If you have genuine evidence of impropriety, tell the appropriate authorities. Because there is sod all I can do.
In a perfect world, that would be the solution, however, given the extent of people implicated, going to the very heart of government and even internationally, the normal avenues invariably end up with investigations shut down.
Hence, the only way to crack this cycle is to raise awareness, to increase public pressure on the authorities.
The tide is turning to some extent, but despite a string of celebrities facing justice, I struggle to recall a public case of a very high official such as a cabinet minister or a high ranking member of the house of lords facing charges; in fact, they are generally not even questioned... even when there is swathes of evidence.
Hence, the only way to crack this cycle is to raise awareness, to increase public pressure on the authorities.
By making unfounded accusations against people?
Witch Hunt!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hence, the only way to crack this cycle is to raise awareness, to increase public pressure on the authorities.
If you actually believe that's what you are doing.
You are more deluded than I thought 😐
A witch hunt generally involved pitchforks, dunking and fire... none of that is being suggested.
At the end of the day, Politicians are supposed to work for us, but as it stands, they hide behind laws they've crafted in their own interests and use power and influence to erode the justice and nobility which they preach.
There are plenty of good un's but a number of VERY bad apples who need to be removed...
Errr the Mccarthy witch hunts didn't involve pitch forks and fire last time I checked the history books?

Please tell me you do spend time doing normal stuff too because the constant conspiracy theories can not be good for your health.
Not even remotely similar...
This regards abuse of power in the darkest manner possible, within a network of a select few

Thanks for your concern dude, I'm all good in tha hood
You're saying witch hunts are justified then? That wrongfully accusing or using unfounded rumors of someone being gay for your political agenda in the 1950's isn't comparable with doing the same in the the 21st century?
Paying my taxes does not in any way sanction what a government I never voted for, using a millitary force in a way I abhor, not make their actions 'in my name'. As I have no choice but to pay taxes.
Yes you do, you can not pay them and go to prison if you're self employed. 😆
P.S. I know a musician who used to do this back in the late '70s.
You are Call me Dave and I claim my untold millions stashed in Tax Havens the world over:
I in no way condone witch hunts, but certainly advocate justice for victims of people who have thus far proved to be beyond the law...
proved to be beyond the law...
Probably because there's no evidence against them. But that won't be enough for you will it?
For though ours is a godless age, it is the very opposite of irreligious. The true believer is everywhere on the march, and both by converting and antagonizing he is shaping the world in his own image. And whether we are to line up with him or against him, it is well that we should know all we can concerning his nature and potentialities. - E. Hoffer
You're witch hunting me about wanting a witch hunt that I don't want...
But I still want justice for victims who have ample evidence, that has been continually cast aside over a huge period of time.
And with that, I bid you good night sir... 8)
