I have Prime and a Sky subscription. I don't have Netflix
Rarely watch Prime as I have limited time and already have Sky, wondering if I should use it a bit more, does anyone have any recommendations of stuff to watch?
Things that have caught my eye so far are:
Jack Ryan
Vikings
Taken
The Grand Tour
I Superbiker
Grand Prix Driver
Plus a few other random things like The Frozen Road, Divided, Eat Race Win, The Coach
American Gods.
Mrs FD really liked Bosch. I couldn’t get in to it.
Amazon’s video menu system is truly horrible and I’m sure I’m missing loads of good stuff because of it
Vikings is good, black sails seemed promising from watching the 1st one. Been watching Mrs Maisel with Mrs hoppy and it's surprisingly good too. If you're on a fire stick then there's loads of documentaries on RBTV too.
All 7 seasons of Parks and Recreation are on there.
My Robot. Second season is a struggle, but it picks up again.
I think the earlier walking dead seasons are on there?
Peaky Blinders. Took me a couple of seasons to fully take to it, for no reason I can explain, but it's good.
+1Amazon’s video menu system is truly horrible
Black Sails is awesome, Jack Ryan is great too but only 6 eps so far.
If you've never seen it they have most (all?) episodes of Seinfeld, funniest sitcom of all time IMO.
Been watching Outlander with the mrs, quite enjoying it so far.

+2
Enjoyed all of these
Sneaky Pete
Brain Dead
Mr Robot
Vikings
The Patriot
Jack Ryan
Tried these but didn't get past episode 3 for any of them
American Gods
Black Sails
Lucifer
Preacher
The man in the high castle
I didn't really get on with the Man in the High Castle, which was a shame.
More pressingly, the HBO TV series of old:
The Sopranos and The Wire (one or other is the best TV series ever made, probably)
Oz.
Also the TV series with Billy Bob Thornton, Bosch and various other series.
For films it's really patchy compared to Netflix, with some that are well worth watching in amongst an absolute sea of dross.
Parks and Rec, Viking, Outlander, The Gymkhana Files and New Amsterdam.
The UI on the Amazon App on my LG telly is properly shit though.
Series 1-5 of The Americans is on there - really good
Series on Amazon really seem to go off the boil.
- Man in High Castle - enjoyed Series 1 & 2 but episode 1 of series three put be right off with the increasing dependency on parallel universe bollocks
- American Gods - Series 1 good, series 2 reviews I've read are awful
- Mr Robot - Enjoyed series one but really not motivated to embark on series 2
other than that,
Jack Ryan was good
The Grand Tour is enjoyable. I can't even raise the energy to be annoyed at Clarkson any more. Hammond is many times worse.
Also agree that the interface is awful. If you have 4K/HDR TV be sure to actually select that version. It's absolutely beyond me why there isn't just one version listed like every other service that just plays at the max quality your set up will allow.

It's not just on your TV - it's rubbish on every device I've used. The mixing of Prime and non-Prime stuff does my head in when I see something I want to watch then they want me to pay for it. I guess that's the tactic to lure you in though.
Things I've watched and enjoyed so far are:
Parks and Rec
Life in Pieces
Jack Ryan
Bosch
The Grand Tour
Things we found good:
Bosch (4 Series)
Goliath (2 Series)
Jack Ryan
The Patriot (2 Series)
Lucifer (Loads of episodes)
Like others, I am sure we are missing out on loads because of the pants interface.
I really liked Vikings and Black Sails (although a bit daft)
There was a good series, which was a western called Hell on Wheels, which i found good too
Sienfeld and the mentalist are on there. Mrs tells me Supernatural is on it as well
American Gods
The Americans
I really struggle to binge on box sets, I'm not usually home from work and finished eating etc till 8 which only really leaves an hour for TV and some time to faff for tomorrow before bed!
The Expanse, Season 3.
My recent favourites:
Lethal Weapon (TV Series) - brilliant light entertainment
Bosch - really good crime drama
Beat - German techno drama series - subtitled but brilliant story line
4 Blocks - german crime series - brutal but well written
American Gods - too strange to describe
Homecoming - drama starring Julia Roberts
Preacher - comic book adaptation about a preacher with a criminal past trying to find God, literally. Probably my favourite recent show.
Patriot - black comedy/spy drama. Clever, funny, incredibly depressing.
The Expanse - sci-fi series following a detective, the survivors of a destroyed spaceship, and a politician. Reminds me of Babylon 5 and Firefly at times, just finished season 1 and will be watching the rest.
The Expanse. Currently on Prime and worth a watch. I have just finished season 1.
Preacher is still on Prime to and half decent, as is The Patriot. If you want silly, try The Tick.
Don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but The Looming Tower was very good. Also enjoyed Goliath and American Gods.
Running for good, quite incredible lady. Will make you feel rather feeble, and a lazy bastard! 😂
The Expanse. Love this, favourite series for years.
Halt and Catch Fire
Mr Robot (Series 1)
Vikings
Buffy, Angel, obviously.
Got a bit bored with Preacher, American Gods, but they generally get good reviews.
Recently finished The Mentalist, having watched the first few series years ago (I think it was on Channel 5?)
One of the recommendations that came up was 'Burn Notice', which I recall I really enjoyed when it was on telly ages ago too - a CIA operative disavowed in Miami, sort of a cross between MacGuyver and James Bond. Or so.
Couldn't get on with Bosch, Parks and Rec, Man in High Castle.
Expanse season 1 & 2 were great, mixed feelings about season 3 so far.
Coming to mind most recently:
"Startup" series
"Vikings" series
Some films too; just watched "12 Strong", which is a bit too Hollywood but based on a true story
"Jaguar: Going Electric" documentary
Hell on Wheels is pretty good.
Just started watching 'Homecoming' quite good so far...
Wife's subscribed to it but I've hardly used it yet, is there any way to see only stuff that's included in the subscription?
It's a bit confusing at first glance.
+ 1 for American Gods
Season 2 just started last week so it’s a good time to catch up on season 1,
I’ve also found some reasonable films hidden away ,,,, but a lot of very average ones ☹️
It’s a bit confusing at first glance.
Aye, the interface is utter shite.
The looming tower was really good IMO...
Just watched the documentary 'bicycle' which is unsurprisingly about cycling in the UK, a little old (2014) but quite a nice look at history, where we are and where we might be going...

"The Tick" with Peter Serafinowicz - silly and brilliant.
Oh, and we found the full run of Catastrophe on there - we'd not watched it before, so worth a look if you haven't.
Shooter worth a look, also recommend Ray Donovan and Into The Badlands great series!
Few okish things like Under The Dome and some old guilty pleasures like Lost, X Files and of course Mr Bean!
I enjoyed The Night Manager, The Hour, and The Grand Tour.
