We’ve got a 1 month trial on Prime with a view to ditching SKY.
All was well to start off with, with a bit of a blip the Friday before Black Friday, but this weekend it has been unusable. We get a lot of buffering or an outright refusal to work. The two error codes that appear most often are 1060 and 5004.
Other streaming has been OK and a Broadband test with BT has stated that our speeds are within acceptable norms.
Streaming through a 2020 model Samsung TV. Broadband is fibre.
What are other people’s experiences?
Its usually absolutely fine, however last night it was completely gubbed. Can't remember the fault code, but it wasn't even loading the menus. This is through a Firestick 4k (other apps working fine). Haven't tried it yet today
I have a fire tv box and it been flakey recently, not coming out of hibernate and some ui weirdness and streaming quality of the recent rugby was dire for me.
Also on fibre (Vodafone) so don’t think bandwidth is an issue.
My prime is just about to expire, won’t be renewing.
my amazon has been a bit duff through the tv app recently but work perfectly if i use my phone and the chromcast. netflix is faultless through the tv app so guess its an amazon issue
I’ve had the odd glitch where it will crash it did towards the end of last week, works flawlessly normally.
standard wi-fi / hdmi firestick here - been perfectly ok from the get go
very occasional rate issues when starting a stream, always clear up within a minute
BT fibre FWIW.
Fire stick 4K here, not had any problems on a 40mb BT connection except for last night when there were buffering issues.
I’ve only just had my line repaired so it might still be finding it’s feet so to speak.
eta, just done a Speed test over wireless and it’s coming in at 68mbps. No issues streaming this morning.
Not had any issues on mine this weekend. Fire stick.
Had issue on Saturday with the firestick, not loading menus and buffering a lot once it finally did and we picked something. No issues with the PrimeTV app on phone at the same time though as checked that to see.
I've just upgraded from the original box to a new 4k stick. The only issue we've been experiencing is that if I try and open iplayer from the "recent" row it just opens a black screen and hangs. If I open it from the "your apps" row its fine. Rural Suffolk broadband here as well...
Attempting to watch the Rugby on the Prime Video app on a Firestick at my brother's place (with blazingly fast BB) yesterday was a exercise in frustration. It hung right at the end of normal time, which if you watched the game was a problem. I quickly broke out my phone so we could catch the try.
Not had any issues watching any of the other games on the app on both LG and Samsung TVs.
